Financial Disclosure
Bridge Educational Foundation, one of the largest and most effective scholarship organizations in Pennsylvania, is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as an approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Additionally, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has certified Bridge under the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, as a Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization, Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization, and an Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Organization.

The official registration and financial information of Bridge Educational Foundation, Inc. may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll-free, within Pennsylvania, at 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement. Bridge strives to keep administrative costs low. The most common measure of non-profit efficiency is to measure and compare the Program expenses stated on an organization’s IRS 990 report. Bridge has reported program expenditures of more than 90% in every year of operation.
The Board of Directors of Bridge, from its inception, adopted a rigid process of internal financial checks and balances well beyond that which is required under state and federal law. Bridge contracts with an independent accounting firm to manage and reconcile all financial transactions. In addition to submitting itself annually to an independent audit of its financial transactions, consistent with its obligations as a registered non-profit with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Charitable Organizations, Bridge has completed an annual independent audit every fiscal year it has been in operation. Bridge has been commended for its protective auditing policies.
